The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKPC&SAPD)
Since 1997, the Marathon Charity Programme has raised over HK$16 million for the HKPC&SAPD to further promote sporting opportunities, elevate the skill level and awareness of disabled athletes in Hong Kong, identify and nurture the abilities of young athletes, and help them perform to their highest potential and bring home wins for the HKSAR.
Seeing is Believing
Standard Chartered launched the "Seeing is Believing" global fundraising campaign in 2003, with the aim of eye restoration and eye care education in developing countries. Driven by the passion of staff, customers, business partners and communities, Seeing is Believing has raised over US$17 million and impacted over 11 million people across 20 countries. Now entering its next phase, Seeing is Believing aims to raise another US$20 million to help 20 million people in 20 developing countries around the world. Funds raised in Hong Kong will be largely donated to ORBIS for eye restoration and eye care education projects in China.
The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society (HKACS)
The HKACS is the oldest non-profit-making anti-cancer organization in Hong Kong. It has always been at the forefront of fighting against cancer and is committed to serving the people of Hong Kong. In addition to the HKACS Jockey Club Cancer Rehabilitation Centre, which provides one-stop medical and rehabilitation services for cancer patients, they also organize various activities to raise awareness of cancer such as cancer education, cancer research, and developing guidelines for cancer detection and prevention. They also provide direct financial support for cancer patients in need.
